Temporales

Temporales is a painting series that originated from a personal experience during a heavy rainstorm in San José, Costa Rica. The visual distortion caused by the water on the windshield led Osvaldo Sequeira to recall his childhood visits to the capital, sparking the idea of capturing that blend of altered perception and memory.

Through various color palettes and visual effects, the series depicts urban landscapes of San José from a subjective, fragmented, and emotional perspective. The result is a visual interpretation of the city during the temporales—the seasonal rainstorms—combining recognizable architectural elements with imagery rooted in memory and personal experience.
